Gold falls by Rs 53, silver falls by Rs 256
On Wednesday, gold fell by Rs 53 to Rs 52,340 per 10 grams. Silver also fell by Rs 256 to Rs 57,957 per kg.
Gold fell by Rs 53 to Rs 52,340 per 10 grams in the Delhi bullion market on Wednesday due to fall in precious metals in international markets and improvement in rupee value. HDFC Securities gave this information.
In the last trading session, the price of gold was Rs 52,393 per 10 grams. During this, the price of silver also fell by Rs 256 to Rs 57,957 per kg. In the last trading session, silver had closed at Rs 58,213 per kg.
In the international market, gold declined to $1,772 an ounce while silver remained almost unchanged at $19.96 an ounce. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, "Gold trading range remained stable on mixed global cues and strengthening dollar."
Gold futures rise by Rs 14 per 10 grams
Gold prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 14 to Rs 51,851 per 10 grams in futures market as speculators created fresh positions on firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in October rose by Rs 14, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 51,851 per 10 grams. It had a business turnover of 15,319 lots.
Market analysts said buying of fresh positions by participants led to the rise in gold futures prices. Globally, gold fell 0.05 per cent to Rs 1,788.80 an ounce in New York.
