Rohit Sharma's hand behind Hardik's four wickets, 'manages workload brilliantly'

India all-rounder Hardik Pandya took four wickets in the series decider at Old Trafford in Manchester. All four wickets were excellent and their bowling was also tight. Had Hardik Pandya not been in the bowler, then surely England would have given a target of 300 to India but now it is 260. The target is challenging as the Indian top order is not completely in sync. Rohit and Kohli don't have that rhythm and consistency right now.

Excellent at managing workloads

Meanwhile, Hardik credited skipper Rohit Sharma for taking the four-wicket haul against England, saying the India captain has been brilliant in managing his workload.

Pandya (4/24) and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (3/60) helped India bundle out England for 259 in the series decider third and final ODI at Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday.

Brilliantly managed my workload

"I had to turn my back a bit, change my plans and realize you need to use the short ball as a wicket-taking ball," Hardik told broadcasters during the innings break. I always like my bouncer. Livingstone likes to play the short ball for a six and that gives me goosebumps. He hit me for two sixes, but one wicket made a big difference. The body is fine, the captain has managed my workload very well. The target is good but the point is now to show intent in batting, the wicket is very good to bat on. We will look at our chances to chase.

took important four wickets

Captain Jos Buttler played a crucial innings (60 off 80 balls) for England. Apart from Butler, Jason Roy (41), Moeen Ali (34), and Craig Overton (32) made major contributions with the bat for the hosts. Pandya made a big impact in the match by dismissing players like Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone at critical times. Chahal also took three wickets, then Mohammad Siraj (2/66), and Ravindra Jadeja (1/21) were the other wicket-takers for India.
